3 cups AP flour
1/2 cup sugar
1 Tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp kosher salt
12 oz can beer (preferably domestic)
1/4 cup butter, melted
Mix dry ingredients. Add beer. Mix to combine but do NOT over mix. The mixture will be lumpy. Pour into a buttered bread pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour. Halfway through pour the melted butter over the top allowing it to drip between the pan and the bread crust. Do this slowly so you don't spill it - the bread will absorb all that glorious butter.
Cool for 30 minutes in the pan on a rack. Serve warm with butter (of course!).
